Operation to retrieve status from components in a repository

Component status

Besides the intention of acting as a heart beat, the GetStatus response also includes a field with the answering contributors status.

The status consists of two parts:

  • A protocol defined status code, machine readable
  • A textual status message, for a more detailed human readable description 

Combined the two parts can be used for detailing the health of each status contributor.
