5.3 Release Test

Release Test Information

• Previous 5.2 release test
• Release test status: Started03 Mar 2017
• NetarchiveSuite 5.3 change notes.
• Setup DK test environment
• Prepare Release Test Process

• Tests should be run with

  export VERSION=5.3-RC2
  export H3ZIP=/home/devel/nas_versions/bundler/NetarchiveSuite-heritrix3-bundler-5.3-RC2.zip

  These can also set on the command line to the test scripts, e.g.

  prepare_test.sh -x TEST123 -p 807x -m foo@bar.dk -d default_deploy_config.xml -v 5.3-RC2 -3 /home/devel/nas_versions/bundler/NetarchiveSuite-heritrix3-bundler-5.3-RC2.zip

Precondition

Check that the Full Test Suite and System Test are both green.

Sanity test

Run right after code freeze to verify the system integrity prior to the main release test.

After the release test has finished and any critical bugs found have been fixed, a beta release will be made

Regression tests

Test new functionality

(H3 Scripting features do not need to be tested as part of the NAS release test.)
