Pathways

Designed as an interoperability layer on top of several different repositories.

Mentioned on https://wiki.dlib.indiana.edu/display/INF/Repository+Interoperability, which links to the (at that time) official page on http://www.infosci.cornell.edu/pathways/, which appears to be gone.

More information can be found here: http://msc.mellon.org/Meetings/Interop/FinalReport (report, pdf) and http://msc.mellon.org/Meetings/Interop/lagoze_data_model.pdf (presentation, pdf).

The project appears to be dead.

Fedora Journaling

Designed as a load balancer for Fedora. The fundamental idea is to have multiple fedoras serving in a read-only role. Updates trickle to these instances by a journal.

This project does not seem to be migrated to Fedora 4, at least as of yet.

The Journaling modules seems to be of great interest to us and should easily be adapted for our use. The serialization format is not entirely what we would like, but that is more of a matter of being too verbose.Â
