We have chosen to use only very few (5-10) and very general questions as advised by DCC and others. All answers will be given as free text. Each question will have detailed guidance including a set of additional questions that can be used as checklist and exemplary answers, some of which are DTU specific. Furthermore, relevant links are included. Using general main questions accounts for flexibility and differences across different areas of research, since not all themes are equally relevant for different types of research.
In the introduction to the template we emphasize the need for assigning responsibilities for data management. This should be considered in all answers. The same holds for consideration of additional resources wherever necessary and compliance with external requirements, in particular regarding sensitive data. We also state clearly that the DMP is not a fixed document but should be updated whenever needed. In addition we motivate the DMP by referring to external requirement from funders, publishers and the code of conduct.
